I came across her during critique. Shane showed me her work and how she photographed the subculture of skaters. I'm currently working on LARPers, but my work fell a little short on how to actually capture the people, rather than just people in costume. He showed me Kate's work, a former student of his, and how she managed to capture the lives of these people, not just the skating aspect to create a more in depth documentation of these people that I'm striving to capture with my newfound friends.
