Bruce Davidson is an American photographer born in 1933. He is a part of Magnum Photos since the 1950's. His work centers around Harlem in New York City. These photographs are from his series Brooklyn Gang, taken in the mid-1950's. He has published many books with images from this series in them. His most famous series was centered around the Civil Rights Movement.
I find the photographs in this series to be interesting, because of how you can look at them and not know the exact time period of when they were taken. The backgrounds being general places paired with the timeless quality make for an interesting photograph. Going through some of Davidson's work, you can really see just how much time he spent taking pictures.
