Lexi Wilson-- Weekly Artist Post

This week I am posting about Tierney Gearon, specifically her work from The Mother Project. I was first introduced to her when we watched a documentary about her process in this project in our darkroom 1 class. Her work struck such a chord with me, because it really shares such a real relationship between her and her mother. One made up of a deep love for the other but also the tension created from her mother's mental illness. This back and forth relationship is so present in these images, and I begin to empathize with her as she takes me through these very personal issues.
