This image shows a woman smoking a cigarette in what appears to be her office. The woman is not wearing clothes, and she is sitting in her office chair. Her desk is cluttered. There is a lamp in the upper left hand corner, and a window behind the desk. This work, and this image, is highly personal. It shows how the subject lives and exists in her own space. The nudity adds to the personal element, but merely by suggesting a comfort in the model. The images feel homey and inviting, as if we also are allowed to feel this comfortable in their space.
The use of light/color is really effective for this as well. The lighting looks natural, which is good for trying to show how someone naturally exists in this environment. The colors are soft and inviting, and it looks like a home setting. Nothing is harsh and sharp, but more smooth and soft.
