Artist - Andie Younkin

What I really appreciate about Stephen Shore is use of light and color. I've always been drawn to cool blue colors and bright, filtered, natural lighting. The bottom photography has a painterly quality to it which I found very similar to Joel Sternfield's work in American Prospects. Also, Stephen Shore's use of subject is very interesting to me in the ways that he choses people who interact with each other and the camera in a successful way that makes the reader want to figure out what they are reacting to, and why their reactions are the way that they are.
