Sam Stephenson is a photographer, videographer, documentarian from Durham, NC. (my home town!) He has done several projects within Durham about the Durham community. He is involved with the Duke Documentary studies program. He is well known for a project called the Jazz Loft project but his most recent work is called Bull City Summer. Most of his work involves many different elements and ends up being a multi media documentary project. This most recent project was about the local minor league baseball team, the Durham Bulls. It was centered around how the team strengthens unity within the city and how it brings together so many different people to connect over this common interest. It is a beautiful piece that I strongly suggest checking out.
