Artist

Lewis Foglia

In his 'A natural order' Lewis Foglia presents an area of society hidden from most of us, when looking at this project I couldn't help but wonder about how his approach and separation from his subjects manipulated the outcome of the project and how it effects the viewer. It reminds me a lot of what I learned about what's going on in Detroit just now, out of towners go there take pictures, leave then publish them as if they have something to say about the current situation there. It's an interesting approach that creates this grey area between exploitation and exploration....
