During my presentation, I presented Sam Cannon and how I believe she works with a psychological phenomenon known as change blindness. The .gifs that I showed from her "Our Time Is Here" series presented the subject in a still manner, yet there's still very subtle changes in the environment, which plays on the 'blinking image' from my powerpoint when you're trying to figure out that one minor change (except with her work, there's less of a chance for seizures).
I forgot for some reason to include another body of work, which is odd and amazing- but her Family Portraits II series, which can be found linked below. It plays with the ideas above, showing various subject's eyes moving throughout a series of famous family pictures.
