One thing that really draws me to Bryan Schutmaat's work is his the dynamic qualities of his series, Grays the Mountain Sends. I love that his series consists of various strong portraits, but also images of landscapes and photos resembling still lives. I really admire that he is able to capture several things so strongly. His work has inspired me to think more about places and spaces-- not just portraits.
