John Freyer, a teacher at VCU who a lot of you probably know has been very inspirational to me. He was my first filmmaking teacher last year when film was a very foreign subject to me. Some of his projects such as All My Life for Sale and Second Hand Stories are subjects that really got my attention. The playfulness of the project mixed with a lot of technical skill is avery attractive idea that I definitely admire and embrace in some of my work. John also has an approachable and easy-going attitude that I appreciate in an artist; someone who doesn't take himself too seriously but maintains a respectable image within the art world.
