Zaki Abdelmounim

Zaki Abdelmounim is an artist from Qatar who does a lot of graphic and illustration work. But recently, he did a project where he captured Cityscape of Honkkong in very unique way. At first, I thought he just edited out those cityscape photo just because of aesthetic purpose, but his usage of magenta, cyan, and lime green  color represented Honkkong's iconic neon signs. These cyan and magenta colors, especially dark magenta reminded me of ghetto area of future city in SF movies. It was also interesting how he used same unrealistic processing on people too. And unfortunately, Honkkong's goverment are getting rid of neon lights to reduce light pollution. Soon, we might not be able to see it's iconic neon lightings.
